The Sons of the sun are an African rock band formed in Nyeri in 2020 by Daniel Mwangi. With a line-up comprising Daniel Mwangi, Deborah Muthoni, Dan Wilson Karari and Morgan Ambuga, they are regarded as the most unique band in Kenya. Rooted in pop, beat and 1970s rock and roll, their sound incorporated elements of classical music and traditional pop in innovative ways. The band explores music styles ranging from ballads to hard rock.
