RnB

RnB is music built around the voice: smooth melodies, rich harmonies, warm chords and grooves that sit somewhere between soul, pop and hip-hop. It's the genre of love songs, late-night playlists and slow jams, but it also covers upbeat, danceable records and moodier alternative RnB.

Artists on Ziki make RnB in English, Swahili and Sheng, and many mix it with Afrobeats, Bongo or amapiano production, which gives East African RnB a sound of its own. Expect heartfelt ballads, confident anthems, duets and plenty of stripped-back vocal performances.
