Beat & Music Licences

When you pay for a track on Ziki, you're buying a licence to use it, not the copyright. The licence is between you (the buyer) and the artist or producer who uploaded it. Every paid track shows which licence applies next to its price and again at checkout.

Standard Non-Exclusive Licence

Applies to beats and instrumentals. It lets you make and release your own song on the beat.

Files: The MP3 file as uploaded by the producer
Use: Record and release one new song on this beat, for profit
Distribution: Streaming platforms, downloads, radio and live shows, up to 100,000 combined streams/sales
Video: One music video, including monetised YouTube
Credit: Credit the producer as “prod. by the producer”
Non-exclusive: The producer keeps ownership and may license this beat to others
Term: Worldwide, no expiry for songs released under it
Refunds: Digital downloads are final. Payment problems: sales@ziki.co.ke

Personal Use Licence

Applies to other paid songs. It's for listening, not for reuse.

Files: The MP3 file as uploaded by the artist
Use: Listen on your own devices, for personal, non-commercial use
Not included: Re-uploading, resale, public performance, or use in your own releases or videos
Ownership: The artist keeps all rights to the music
Refunds: Digital downloads are final. Payment problems: sales@ziki.co.ke

Receipts and proof of licence

After payment you'll get an email with your download link and payment reference. Keep it: the reference, together with the track and the licence version shown on this page, is your proof of licence. If a distributor or platform asks for it, contact sales@ziki.co.ke and we'll confirm the purchase.

Refunds and disputes

Because tracks are delivered as instant digital downloads, purchases are final. If you were charged but didn't receive your file, were charged twice, or believe a track was uploaded by someone who doesn't own it, email sales@ziki.co.ke with your payment reference and we'll look into it.

For sellers

By selling a track on Ziki you confirm that you own it or have the right to license it, and you agree to grant buyers the licence shown for that track. See the Terms of Service for seller fees.
