World

World is Ziki's home for music that doesn't sit neatly in one box: traditional and folk music from across Africa, rumba and soukous, taarab, cross-cultural fusion, and experiments that blend local instruments and languages with jazz, electronic or pop production.

It's where you'll find the nyatiti next to a synth, a choir next to a drum machine, and artists drawing on the music of many communities at once. Some tracks are recordings of traditions passed down for generations; others are brand-new ideas that only make sense because of where the artist grew up.

Use this page to explore the most-played world music on Ziki and to discover new uploads from independent artists across the region and beyond. Every track streams free, and many can be downloaded. Follow the artists you find so their next release lands in your library, and share the sounds that surprise you. If your music mixes traditions or doesn't fit anywhere else, upload it here.
